Significant increase in cargo handling at Qatari ports in March

The ports of Qatar have witnessed an increase of 22% in containers handling in March compared to same period last year.
Hamad Port, Ruwais Port and Doha Port handled 137,737 Twenty-Foot Equivalent Units (TEUs) containers; 134,320 tonnes general cargo; 25,638 livestock heads; 48,924 tonnes building materials and 6,669 units of vehicles during last month, said Mwani Qatar in a tweet. A total of 250 ships docked at these ports in March. “MwaniQatar received 137,737 containers in March 2021, an increase of 22% compared to the same period last year.
