Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav said that there is a strong nexus between terror groups and the gangsters arrested in the Sidhu Moose Wala murder case.
The police official held a press conference in Chandigarh in the Sidhu Moose Wala murder case.
“There is a strong Nexus between terror groups and gangsters. ISI is exploiting this nexus,” DGP Gaurav Yadav said.
He further added that the “ISI is exploiting this nexus.” The Punjab DGP also said that the “Gangsters claim they are not anti-nationals.”
Punjab DGP said that Deepak Mundi and two of his accomplices were arrested in a joint operation launched by Delhi police and Punjab police, adding that out of the 35 accused, 23 have been arrested.
The police official further added that Deepak Mundi was in touch with Canada-based gangster Goldi Brar as the latter had promised them a safe passage via Nepal.
On May 29, singer-politician Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Punjab's Mansa district. His cousin and a friend, who were travelling in a jeep with him, were also injured in the attack.
