Punjab Police has filed a chargesheet in the Sidhu Moose Wala murder case. According to police, Mohanna, an accused hailing from Moose Wala's home district, was in conversation with gangsters Goldie Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi via Signal App.
Manmohan Singh alias Mohanna , a Mansa resident arrested in connection with Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala's murder, was in conversation with Canada-based gangsters Goldie Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi via Signal App.
According to a chargesheet filed by the Mansa Police, Mohanna, who allegedly conducted a recce of Moose Wala during the recently-held assembly elections, confessed to burning the phone he used to have conversations with gangsters.
The accused had also kept the weapons within a radius of one kilometre from Mansa after the crime, the police said.
Earlier, the special investigation team (SIT) had established a local link in the killing of Sidhu Moose Wala with the arrest of Mohanna.
On May 29, singer-politician Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Punjab's Mansa district. Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead a day after the state government curtailed his security cover. His cousin and a friend, who were travelling in a jeep with him, were also injured in the attack. Ankit Sirsa, a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang shot dead singer-politician Sidhu Moose Wala in Jawaharke village. The autopsy report revealed that he died within 15 minutes of being shot at and had 19 bullets pumped into his body.
