Shura Council election campaigns heat up
The Peninsula
Despite the focus of the Shura Council’s election campaign on social media and mainstream media, many streets and main roads began to be adorned with pictures of candidates and their electoral programmes.
The billboards include the candidates’ pictures, names, and district numbers, aiming to convince voters and introduce them to their election programme.
The Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) issued regulations for obtaining a permit for advertisements. To obtain an advertising permit for election campaigns, the candidate should submit required documents such as a copy of the candidate’s nomination paper issued by the Election Committee and an ID copy.
