Shura Council approves draft law on common insurance protection for GCC citizens

Doha: The Shura Council held Monday its weekly meeting via video conference under the chairmanship of HE Speaker Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud.

During the meeting, the Council discussed the report of the Legal and Legislative Affairs Committee on amending some provisions of Law No. 4 of 2007 enacting the Common System of Extending Insurance Protection to Citizens of the Cooperation Council of the Arab Gulf States (GCC) working outside their countries in any Member State of the council. After discussion, the Council decided to approve the aforementioned law and to refer its recommendations thereon to the esteemed government.
