State governments have been asked to submit their views regarding the conduction of Class 12 board exams to the Centre by today, May 25.
The Class 12 board exams are likely to be conducted in a limited number of subjects and there is also a possibility that a shorter format of 90 minutes may be considered as the Centre and states on Sunday held a detailed deliberation on ways to conduct the career-defining tests. “There were different options considered. The exams are likely to be held in around 19 or maybe 20 major subjects. For others, internal assessment etc would be adopted,” said a government official. Another option was a shorter 90-minute format for the tests, which are usually 180-minutes long, which was also discussed. In the second option, it was also discussed that the exams will be held in two phases depending on the Covid-19 situation.More Related News
