Three people were shot in Mississauga Friday evening sending two to a trauma centre and one to hospital, police say.
At approximately 8 p.m., Peel police said they received a report of a disturbance in the area of Hull Street and Airport Road.
Const. Himmet Gill said initial calls were about an altercation on the street involving 10 men with reports of multiple gunshots.
When they arrived, police said, they found three people with gunshot wounds. Gill said the victims' injuries are being treated as life-threatening.
Gill said two victims were rushed to a trauma centre and the other was taken to a local hospital. Police have not yet released a description of suspects.
"At this point, we don't know if they fled on foot or if they fled in a vehicle," Gill said.
"It's very crucial to understand what had transpired here first to see what the events, how they unfolded."
