'Shocked': Karnataka CM condoles death of Indian student killed in Ukraine shelling

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai offered condolences to the family of Naveen, the Indian student who was killed in shelling in Ukraine this morning.
Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai condoles the demise of Naveen, a resident of Haveri district, who was killed in shelling in Ukraine's Kharkiv region this morning.
Expressing his grief over the death of Naveen Gyanagoudar, Chief Minister Bommai spoke to Naveen's father Shekar Gowda over phone and consoled the family.
"With profound sorrow, we confirm that an Indian student lost his life in shelling in Kharkiv this morning. The Ministry is in touch with his family. We convey our deepest condolences to the family,” the MEA had said in a statement.
Naveen belonged to CM's district Haveri. Bommai obtained more details about Naveen and stated that he was with the family at this hour of grief.
