Shiv Sena wasted 25 years in alliance with BJP: Uddhav Thackeray
India Today
Maharashtra Chief Minister and Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray said that the BJP's Hindutva is for power.
Nearly after two years of breaking the alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Maharashtra Chief Minister and Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday said he still believes that his party wasted 25 years in alliance with BJP.
CM Thackeray made this comment while addressing Shiv Sainiks virtually on the 96th birth anniversary of the party founder and his father, Bal Thackeray. CM Uddhav said that the BJP's Hindutva is for power.
"I believe that BJP's opportunistic Hindutva is for power," he said.
“The Sena has left the BJP and not Hindutva,”added CM Thackeray.
The Sena fell out with the BJP after the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections and tied up with NCP and Congress to form Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government.
