Shiv Sena MP Bhavana Gawli failed to appear before the Enforcement Directorate for the fourth time on Thursday in connection with a money laundering case.
Shiv Sena MP Bhavana Gawli failed to appear before Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials for the fourth consecutive time on Thursday in connection with a money laundering case.
Bhavana Gawli sought an exemption of 15 days through her legal representatives. Gawli also told ED officials that she would record her statement via audio-visual mode.
In her response to the ED summons, Bhavana Gawli said she did not have the information sought by the ED regarding the company, Mahila Utkarsh Pratishthan, as she was not involved in the day to day activities.
Bhavana Gawli mentioned that information regarding the company can be obtained from the Registrar of Companies office by the agency.
Speaking about the complaint she had filed, Bhavana Gawli said most of the documents are with police officials of Risod police station.
This was the fourth time Bhavana Gawli was summoned by the ED and failed to appear before the agency. She was last summoned on November 24.
According to sources, irregularities of around Rs 17 crore were found in the trust that is linked to the Yavatmal-Washim Shiv Sena MP Bhavana Gawali.
