Shillong: 3 INSAS rifles snatched by miscreants from Meghalaya Police recovered from Umkhrah river

Three INSAS rifles, which were snatched by masked miscreants from Meghalaya Police personnel during the violence in Shillong on August 15, were recovered on Monday.

A team of the Meghalaya Fire and Emergency Services on Monday recovered three INSAS rifles that masked miscreants had snatched from the state police personnel during the violence and arson in Shillong on August 15. The INSAS rifles were recovered from the Umkhrah river in Shillong. The fire services team had fished out the rifles from below the Umpohliew bridge.
