Sharman Joshi reveals Aamir Khan suggested they get drunk for 3 Idiots stairs scene

Sharman Joshi revealed that it was Aamir Khan's idea that they actually get drunk with R Madhavan for their stairs scene in 3 Idiots. The film is directed by Rajkumar Hirani.

3 Idiots is among one of the best Bollywood films ever. The trio of Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi and R Madhavan created great memories while shooting for the film, which is directed by Rajkumar Hirani. In an interview, Sharman revealed that they all got drunk in reality for a scene for the film. And guess whose idea it was? Aamir Khan, of course. Aamir had suggested that they should get drunk for the iconic stairs scene where they seen cursing Virus (Boman Irani). Speaking to The Times of India, Sharman Joshi remembered the scene in which Raju (Sharman), Rancho (Aamir) and Farhan (Madhavan) abuse Virus sitting on the stairs. In the scene, the three friends are shown to be drunk, talking about life and their dreams. Sharman revealed that it was Aamir's idea that they should all be actually drunk for the scene. He said, "I especially remember the one scene where Aamir, Maddy and I were drunk and cursing Boman Irani’s character in the film. Aamir suggested that we drink and perform. Aamir and I were on time to start drinking but Maddy had some work and reached a little late. Aamir told him to catch up with us. Madhavan is not much of a drinker but in order to catch up with us, he had a few drinks too fast."
