Shark Tank's Ashneer Grover feels he's more memeworthy. Here's why
India Today
Most of the Shark Tank India memes have been made on judge Ashneer Grover. The BhartPe co-founder tells us the reason.
Shark Tank India judge Ashneer Grover was known was his blunt feedback on the show. Not just that but he was also known for using chaste Hindi while interacting with the pitchers. His words like 'doglapan' and 'wahiyat' have been a favourite of the meme-makers. The BhartPe co-founder feels he is more meme-worthy in comparison to the other Sharks because he spoke in Hindi, which has no filters.
Ashneer Grover was known for his outbursts and being a tough nut to crack on Shark Tank India. This has resulted in many memes on the entrepreneur. Some he even shared on his Instagram handle. Out of all the judges on the business reality show, Ashneer is undoubtedly the most popular one with most of the memes being made on him.
Speaking about sparking a meme-fest online to comedian Rohan Joshi and Sahil Shah, Ashneer Grover said, "Mere saath problem kya hai ki main Hindi bolta hoon, bahut zyaada. Aur Hindi mein koi filter nahi hai. Jo hai so bol diya, muh pe lagta hai, right? Angrezi thodi se refined hoti hai toh uss kar ke bhi meme thode zyaada ban jaate hain. Mere ko nahi lagta mera koi bi meme hai jisme angrezi ka shabd hai (The problem with me is I speak in Hindi mostly. And Hindi doesn't have any filter. It is what it is and so it hits you hard. English is a bit refined. And, so I feel more memes are made on me. I don't think any of meme has a word of English in it)."
Rohan Joshi agreed to him and said, "Dhanda just means business but business and dhanda just sound like two completely different things. I don't know how to explain this but dhande mein automatically mere dimaag mein gun nikalti hai."
The other Sharks on the show were Namita Thapar (executive director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals), Aman Gupta (co-founder and chief marketing officer at boAt), Vineeta Singh (CEO and co-founder of SUGAR Cosmetics), Peyush Bansal (CEO and co-founder of Lenskart,) and Ghazal Alagh (co-founder of Mamaearth). The Sharks were recently seen on The Kapil Sharma Show. They had a fun interaction with Kapil Sharma, who made them spill the beans on various topics.
