
Share details of Telangana residents who recently travelled to J&K: Tourism Minister to tour operators

Two days after attack in Pahalgam, Tourism Minister requests travel details of Telangana residents who recently traveled in Jammu & Kashmir, sets up helpline numbers for assistance.
Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao has asked tour operators and travel agents in Telangana to immediately pass details of the State residents who recently traveled to Jammu & Kashmir. This will help in monitoring situation of the tourists and extend government help when needed.
Pahalgam attack updates April 24, 2025
Two days after the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, the Minister on Thursday (April 24, 2025) said that Telangana Tourism department has set up helpline numbers to extend assistance to the Telangana tourists round-the-clock. The numbers are 9440816071; 9010659333 and 040 23450368. The tourists’ relatives or friends too can pass details or seek help. Besides, the phone number of the department to lodge complaints is 7032395333. Toll-Free Number is 1800 425 46464.
On Wednesday (April 23, 2025), the State government set up a helpline at Telangana Bhavan in New Delhi. People were asked to contact Hyder Ali Naqvi at 9971387500 and Vandhana at 9871999044, for information or assistance.
The Tourism department officials are monitoring the situation in coordination with the officials in Telangana Bhavan and central agencies.
A video of around 80 tourists from the State who were stranded in Srinagar went viral on Wednesday. They requested the State and central government for assistance in returning to home.

There are two instances where the government has shifted out such establishments out of the core city areas. The APMC yard, which was operating out of N.T. Pet, was shifted to Yeshwanthpur in the late 1980s, and HAL airport was shut down for passenger traffic and a new airport was built near Devanahalli.
