Sharada School to celebrate golden jubilee in Dharwad tomorrow

Golden jubilee celebrations of Sharada Group of Institutions in Dharwad, founded by K.H. Patil, with notable guests and awards.
The golden jubilee celebrations of the Sharada Group of Institutions of Vemana Vidyavardhaka Sangha built by cooperative leader and former Minister K.H. Patil will be held in Dharwad on Friday.
Addressing presspersons in Dharwad on Wednesday, vice-president of Vemana Vidyavardhaka Sangha Ramesh Jangal said that Minister for Law, Justice, Human Rights, Parliamentary Affairs, Legislation and Tourism H.K. Patil will inaugurate the golden jubilee celebrations at 4 p.m.
Judge of High Court of Karnataka Ravi Hosamani and Chairman of Legislative Council Basavaraj Horatti will be the guests at the function which will be presided over by chairman of the sangha and former MLA D.R. Patil.
On the occasion, Sahakara Ratna award winner K.L. Patil will be felicitated and a souvenir which has been published to mark the golden jubilee celebrations will be released by Vice-Chancellor of University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad, P.L. Patil.
Mr. Jangal said that K.H. Patil established and developed Sharada School with the objective of providing education to children of the poor and those from rural areas at an affordable cost. And, now, over the years, it has expanded itself and is providing education from pre-school to PU courses, he said.
In the syndicate meeting on December 20, 2024, Peer Jhad Fahimuddin, a member, objected to an event of special lectures by resource persons and experts from Delhi and other States organised by the Kannada Department on December 15, 2024 under the banner of the university without inviting any statuary officer, syndicate or Academic Council members.
