Ramdas Athawale urged Sharad Pawar to withdraw his support from Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government and instead join hands with BJP to form a government in Maharashtra.
Following Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar's meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister Ramdas Athawale on Saturday said the NCP should join NDA. Talking to ANI on Saturday, Mr Athawale also urged Mr Pawar to withdraw his support from Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government and instead join hands with BJP to form a government in Maharashtra. "I think BJP and NCP government should be formed in Maharashtra," said Mr Athawale. On NCP leader and Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik's clarification that two parties would not come together due to ideological and political differences, Mr Athawale said, "Even Shiv Sena, Congress and BJP were on different shores on a river, but they came together. Why can't BJP and NCP come together? The Constitution framed by Babasahed (Ambedkar) tries to bring different sides together."More Related News
