Shamshera star Vaani on her look in film: I had it easier than Ranbir Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt

Shamshera actress Vaani Kapoor spoke to Indiatoday.in, and spoke about her experience of working with Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt. The trailer of the film was released recently.

Shamshera, starring Vaani Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, and Sanjay Dutt, is one of the most anticipated films of the year. The period action film is directed by Karan Malhotra and marks Vaani's first collaboration with Ranbir and Sanjay. The actress plays is essaying the role of a dancer and Ranbir's love interest. In an exclusive chat with IndiaToday.in, Vaani thanked her stars for the opportunity of working with two powerhouse performers.

Vaani Kapoor, in an exclusive chat with us, said that she has always looked up to Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt as actors. She said, "I was only happy that the film has Sanju Sir and Ranbir; people who I have always looked up to as actors. As an audience, I have loved their work, it's very admirable and inspiring for me. So getting a chance to work with them is an excellent opportunity for me.

Vaani, who plays Sona, said that she had never been presented with a character like this. She said, "Karan presented my character brilliantly. The presentation that he had in mind, the way he envisioned Sona, was very exciting, and so in every aspect, it worked for me. I have never been presented like this before, and there is a lot more to my look which you will see once the film releases. Frankly, for me, it was a lot easy than RK and Sanju sir."

Shamshera releases on July 22. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt in lead roles. Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Shamshera is produced by Yash Raj Films. It is reportedly set in the fictitious city of Kaza, where a warrior tribe is imprisoned, enslaved and tortured by a ruthless authoritarian general Shudh Singh. In Shamshera, Ranbir Kapoor is playing a larger-than-life quintessential Hindi film hero for the first time in his career.
