Pop star Shakira reflected on how her career took a back seat to her relationship with ex-partner Gerard Piqué during their 11 years together.

"For a long time, I put my career on hold, to be next to Gerard, so he could play football," Shakira told The Sunday Times in an interview published Friday.
"There was a lot of sacrifice for love," she added.
