Shahid Kapoor's Jersey is clashing with Yash's KGF Chapter 2 and Vijay's Beast at the box office on April 14. Here's how Shahid reacted to the big BO clash.
Shahid Kapoor's film, Jersey, is all set to release on April 14, 2022. It is heading for a big box office clash with Yash's KGF Chapter and Vijay's Beast. Jersey was earlier scheduled for release on December 31, 2021, but it was postponed due to the third wave of Covid-19. Now, as the film is headed for a box office clash with two big South movies, Shahid Kapoor has shared his thoughts on the same.
In an interview with CNN News 18, Shahid Kapoor was asked about his film's box office clash with KGF Chapter 2 and Beast. To which, he said, "The fact that we're releasing means that we feel it's a good time to release. Otherwise we wouldn't have. The fact that they are releasing, feels a good time for them. So, I guess, if you put the two things together, there is enough space for different movies."
Shahid further confessed that he is a big fan of Vijay and loves his movies. "He's a great dancer and I have a soft spot for good dancing..I'm sure Beast is going to be a fantastic film but that is slightly for a different market. I don't think there's that much overlapping happening there," added Shahid.
The actor also extended good wishes to Yash ahead of his KGF Chapter 2's release. "KGF 2 is a sequel to a film that people have really loved. So wishing Rocky Bhai all the best. It's a different genre, a big action, edgy kind of film and ours is an emotional sports film with family and a message," the actor mentioned.
Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, Jersey is the official Hindi remake of Nani's hit Telugu movie of the same name. Besides Shahid, the film also features his father Pankaj Kapur and Mrunal Thakur in key roles. The second trailer of the film was recently released and it opened to a great response from fans.
