Several parts of Chennai will face a power outage for eight hours due to maintenance work today.

Electricity will remain suspended for eight hours in several parts of Chennai from 9 am to 5 pm due to maintenance work on Thursday, the Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (Tangedco) has said. However, the supply is expected to be restored before 5 pm if the work is completed, the board said in an official release.
