A fight broke out in Telangana’s Maddur village when two factions attending a religious ceremony began attacking each other with sticks and pelted stones over an old rivalry. Several people were injured in the clash.
Several people were injured as the result of a fight between two rival groups in Maddur village in Telangana’s Jogulamba Gadwal district. The two factions attacked each other with sticks and pelted stones during a religious ceremony called ‘Pedda Devara’.
The organisers had invited the local municipal chairman and his rival group, which is termed the reason behind the clash. It is alleged that there was already an existing rivalry between both groups.
The two rival groups attacked each other during a religious ceremony. The controversy erupted when the two factions attending the ceremony confronted each other at the celebrations in Maddur village.
Upon receiving the information, the police immediately rushed to the spot and reviewed the situation. Police dispersed both factions, registered a case and detained a few people involved in the incident.
Several people were injured in the clash and were rushed to the hospital.
