Seven farmer leaders booked for thrashing, stripping Punjab BJP MLA, no arrests made so far

The incident happened in Malout town in Muktsar district, Punjab, where MLA Arun Narang was supposed to address a press meet. The protesting farmers thrashed him and tore off his clothes.  

The Punjab Police has booked seven farmer leaders on charges of thrashing BJP MLA from Abohar, Arun Narang, on Saturday evening. The incident happened in Malout town in Muktsar district, Punjab, where MLA Arun Narang was supposed to address a press meet. The protesting farmers thrashed him and tore off his clothes. Those booked include Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) Sidhupur president Sukhdev Singh Burabujar, cashier of BKU (Dalewal group) Nanak Singh besides five others who have been booked for rioting and murderous attack on the BJP MLA. Over 200 unidentified attackers have also been booked.
