Set your own house in order before talking about BSP: Mayawati responds to Rahul Gandhi

A day after Rahul Gandhi said that the BSP had cleared the way for the BJP to win the UP election, party chief Mayawati asked the Congress leader to "set his own house in order" before commenting on others.
Responding to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's statements about her and her party, Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati said at a press conference that he should set his own house in order first before commenting on others.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said on Saturday that his party had offered to fight the Uttar Pradesh Assembly election in alliance with the Bahujan Samaj Party and have party chief Mayawati as the chief ministerial face.
However, Mayawati did not even respond and gave the BJP a clear passage to victory in the state due to her fear of central agencies such as the CBI and the Enforcement Directorate, he said.
On Sunday, Mayawati rubbished Rahul Gandhi's claims and said there was no truth to them. "Rahul Gandhi has made false allegations against me that I am afraid of BJP's central agencies. There isn't even a trace of truth in this," she said.
She also dismissed Rahul Gandhi's statement that the Congress had offered to fight in alliance with the BSP but she had not responded.
Responding to Rahul Gandhi's allegation that the BSP had cleared the way for BJP's victory, Mayawati said, "Congress has performed poorly in its battle against the BJP. The party should see its own record in taking on the BJP and then speak on the BSP."
"Before speaking on another party, you should have a look within and set your house in order," she said. Mayawati said she had spoken about the reasons for her party's defeat in the Uttar Pradesh election and the Congress should also examine the same for itself.
