Cristiano Ronaldo helped Juventus bounce back from their UCL defeat, from last week, with a 3-1 win against Cagliari in Serie A. The Juventus forward scored a first-half hat-trick on Sunday.
After Juventus’ UCL exit last week, Cristiano Ronaldo helped his club shrug off the setback and made an exceptional match out of the Serie A clash against Cagliari on Sunday (March 14). A day before the rubber against Cagliari, Ronaldo made a strong social media post on Instagram wherein he stood by his team saying “True champions never break!” Ronaldo followed it up with a hat-trick inside 32 minutes of the game and thus inspired Juventus’ 3-1 win over Cagliari 3-1 in their away game. His first-half treble included a 10th-minute breakthrough goal, which was a header, followed by a goal in the 25th minute off a penalty and the hat trick goal was left-foot shot after which the striker celebrated by pointing to his ear, a response to the recent backlash. Juve and their Portuguese forward were under pressure to perform in Sunday’s game after having suffered a Champions League (UCL) last-16 elimination against Porto. But Ronaldo’s treble had put them in a winning position even as Giovanni Simeone scored a goal for the hosts in the second-half. With 55 points, that’s 10 behind table topper Inter Milan, Juve are currently placed 3rd in the Seria A table.More Related News
