Sens. Kirsten Gillibrand and Josh Hawley are pushing to ban U.S. lawmakers from owning stocks while in office, in push against insider trading.
The law would apply to U.S. senators, representatives, Capitol Hill aides, the president, vice president, and employees of the executive branch.
