Sen. James Risch is leading senators on a bill that would overhaul operations at the U.S. southern border in response to the looming end of the Title 42 order in May.

The legislation would require DHS to immediately resume border wall construction, which largely stopped when the Biden administration took office, and bar DHS from canceling prior contracts related to the construction of the project.
