: Self-confidence and determination to put in hard work constitute the key factors for attainment of success, India squash player Dipika Pallikal Karthik said on Saturday while addressing students of Shrimati Indira Gandhi College during the Sports Day celebration.
"Have faith in yourselves," Ms. Dipika, recipient of Padma Shri and Arjuna awards, said in her motivational speech, keenly reminiscing her performances as a student.
K. Meena, secretary of the college, and K. Chandrasekharan, Chief Executive Officer, presided over the programme. S. Maheswari, Physical Director, presented the annual report. The Department of Physics bagged the overall championship. Ms. Dipika gave away the prizes.
