Two Royal Canadian Air Force Hercules cargo planes will be flying over London all day on Saturday.
The Air Force has teamed up with the Royal Canadian Army Cadets to give more than 1,200 young London-area cadets the chance to experience a flight and hopefully, to peak their interest in learning to fly.
"It's one of those many unique experiences that we offer to Canadian youth," said Capt. Mark Giles, the public affairs officer with Ontario's division of the Regional Cadet Support Unit.
"Cadets will get to be on 30-minute flights and some of them, no doubt, will have some other extra experiences, such as talking to the the Air Force pilots," he added.
The flights will leave the London International Airport starting at 9 a.m. up until 5 p.m., with a frequency of about 15 to 30 minutes between each flight.
Giles said that the flight path will be dependant on the weather, but will likely stick close the airport and downtown.
The flights aren't expected to cause much disturbance, with officials saying they'll be similar to what Londoners see and hear when they spot a commercial flights.
