Second round of talks fails; farmers to continue protest at Karnal Mini Secretariat

Demanding the suspension of IAS officer Ayush Sinha who ordered cops to 'break the heads' of protesters, hundreds of farmers continue to stage a sit-in protest at the gates of the Mini Secretariat in Haryana's Karnal.

Farmers protesting against the Centre's three farm laws say they will continue the sit-in outside the Mini Secretariat in Haryana's Karnal. The statement came hours after a second round of talks between farmer leaders and the Haryana government failed on Wednesday. Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM), the farmers' union spearheading the protest, has been demanding the suspension of former Karnal sub-divisional magistrate (SDM) Ayush Sinha.
