A detailed probe revealed that accused Pulkit Arya was keen on dragging Ankita Bhandari to indulge in 'special services' to his resort clients despite her denial.
Ankita Bhandari's murder case has been getting murkier by the day. The three accused, including former BJP leader Vinod Arya's son Pulkit Arya, were arrested and sent to 14-day judicial custody. The other two accused in the case are Saurabh Bhaskar, and another accused named Ankit, alias Pulkit Gupta. In the latest development, India Today accessed a couple of phone recordings pertaining to the murder case.
It may be noted that the development relates to Ankita Bhandari who went missing under mysterious circumstances at the resort where she worked as a receptionist. She was declared dead after the three accused, in police custody, confessed to pushing her into a canal near the resort in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand.
The private resort was owned and operated by Pulkit Arya. A detailed probe revealed that the employer was keen on dragging the receptionist to indulge in 'special services' to his resort clients despite Ankita Bhandari's denial.
Previously, India Today reported how Pulkit Arya, the prime accused, was hell-bent on misguiding the friend of the murder victim, Pushp.
In the latest audio tape accessed by India Today, one of the accused, Ankit, spoke to Ankita's friend Pushp, reportedly an hour after the trio committed the crime. Pushp was anxious and worked up about Ankita's whereabouts and her phone had been switched off too. On the call recording, Pushp can be heard getting suspicious too.
A panicked Pushp asked about his pal, while Ankit outrightly denied being aware of any information related to Ankita's whereabouts.
"You must be aware of something at least. Ultimately, she had stepped out (of the resort) with you guys," Ankita's friend Pushp enquired.
