Schools to reopen in Leh for Classes 9 to 12 from October 14

Schools for the students of Classes 9 to 12 will reopen in Leh from October 14, 2021, keeping in mind the strict Covid-19 SOPs.

Amid the decreasing number of Covid-19 cases around the country, authorities in Ladakh's Leh district announced that the schools for students of classes 9 to 12 will reopen from October 14. This order will be applicable on both private and government schools. All the schools were ordered to close on September 18 after dozens of students were tested positive for Covid-19 during a special drive in the Shey area.

District Magistrate, Leh, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse, in the issued order said that all the government and private schools, as well as residential schools and hostels, would be allowed to open for Class 9 to 12 from October 14.
