A school bus with 20 children inside got stuck in a water-logged underpass in Telangana’s Mahabubnagar district. Timely reaction by the locals and the driver ensured that any mishap was averted and all the 20 kids inside the bus were rescued.
A school bus carrying 20 children got stuck in a water-logged road-under-bridge (RUB) in Telangana’s Mahabubnagar district. No casualties were reported and a mishap was averted with timely help from locals in the area.
The timely intervention by the locals prevented any major mishap from occurring and all the 20 students were rescued.
The school bus carrying the students was stranded in the flood waters at a RUB between machanpally and Sigur Gadda Tanda in Telangana’s Mahabubnagar district.According to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Mahbubnagar, the incident took place at around 9 am. The driver did not expect the water to be so deep. He stopped the vehicle when he noticed that the water had begun to enter the bus.
Immediately, with the help of the locals, the school kids were rescued. No casualties were reported. The bus was also removed from the RUB using a tractor.
