The Supreme Court will hear a plea seeking immediate release of detained Rohingya refugees in Jammu on March 25.
The Supreme Court has said it would hear a fresh plea seeking immediate release of detained Rohingya refugees in Jammu on March 25. The SC also said that it would restrain the Centre from implementing any order deporting them to Mayanmar, reported news agency PTI. A bench headed by Chief Justice S A Bobde had initially observed that there was no urgency. It has now taken note of the submissions of lawyer Prashant Bhushan that the detained Rohingyas may be deported to Mayanmar where the Army has taken over and violence is taking place, reported PTI. “Ok, then we will hear the Rohingya matter on Thursday,” the report quoted the bench saying. The bench also comprised justices A S Bopanna and V Ramasubramanian.More Related News
