SC nod to hear plea on stay of fresh electoral bonds on March 24

The Supreme Court has agreed to hear a plea file by an NGO seeking a stay on the sale of fresh electoral bonds, which are likely to be issued on April 1.
The CJI-led bench of the Supreme Court on Thursday agreed to hear a plea to stay fresh sale of electoral bonds (EB) in five poll-bound states. Advocate Prashant Bhushan, who appeared for the NGO Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR), requested the bench to give an urgent hearing date for the matter. In response to the request, which was made by Bhushan via video conferencing, Chief Justice SA Bobde said the issue needed a detailed hearing and set the case date for March 24.More Related News
