Satish Kaushik predicted The Kashmir Files' success. This is what he told Vivek Agnihotri

Satish Kaushik predicted the success of The Kashmir Files. In an interview with IndiaToday.in, the veteran actor revealed what he told Vivek Agnihotri after watching the film.

The Kashmir Files has worked exceptionally well at the box office and how! Within a span of just 16 days, the Vivek Agnihotri directorial crossed Rs 200 crore at the ticket windows. This speaks a lot about the stupendous success of the Anupam Kher-starrer. Now, in an exclusive interview with IndiaToday.in, actor Satish Kaushik, who watched The Kashmir Files, revealed that he predicted the film's success right after watching it.

After watching The Kashmir Files in a cinema hall, Satish Kaushik felt great as he thought a new genre had been created. He told IndiaToday.in that director Vivek Agnihotri had also created a new genre with his last film, The Tashkent Files.

"Especially, in The Kashmir Files, the kind of problem and the pain that was shown really moved me. And the next morning, I told Vivek that this was going to be a big hit. I told Anupam Kher that this was going to be one of your best performances. I called them up early in the morning. The whole night I was thinking about the film, the genre of the film and the making of the film, the problem tackled and how truthful it was. This is going to be a big film. You can't judge how far it will go. And that is what happened," the veteran actor said.

The senior actor further added that his instinct about The Kashmir Files proved right. "I kept on thinking about the movie. And when you carry a film home, it has to be a big success and it has to make a big difference to the cinema, society and the world," Satish Kaushik signed off.

The Kashmir Files was released in cinemas on March 11, 2022.
