SASTRA signs MoU on scholarship for children of Navy personnel

SASTRA, a deemed university, has signed an MoU with Indian Navy and Naval Welfare and Wellness Association under which it would provide 100% scholarship with free boarding and lodging for wards of Naval personnel who died in harness.

Further, 50% scholarship will be provided to wards of serving Navy personnel.
The MoU was signed by Cmdr G. Rambabu, Commodore (NE), Indian Navy, and Kala Hari Kumar President, NWWA, and R. Chandramouli, Registrar, SASTRA.
The girl, who was admitted to Aster CMI Hospital with alarming breathlessness and significant pallor, was diagnosed with Wegener’s Granulomatosis (now known as Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis or GPA), a rare autoimmune condition that causes spontaneous bleeding in the lungs, leading to acute respiratory failure.
