The Saskatoon Police Service is asking for the public's help solving a 20-year-old homicide.
On July 12, 2003, officers responded to a home on the 200 block of Avenue K N. after a report of a break and enter.
When they arrived, they found 84-year-old Glen McCoy suffering from serious injuries. McCoy died the next day.
Police say no one has been charged in connection to McCoy's death, although several suspects were identified in a news release roughly one week after McCoy's death.
In the days after the death, police announced that three suspicious people had been spotted in the area several days before the victim was discovered.
One of the suspects was described as a 16-year-old boy, roughly 5'8" tall with a medium build. The teen was wearing a black football jersey with white numbers or writing on it, black pants and wire rim sunglasses. There was no description for the other two people, beyond that they were shorter than the first suspect.
Investigators believe the break in happened sometime between 2 p.m. CST on July 10 and 8:00 a.m. CST on July 12.
A starter pistol was found at the scene.
Police believe property was stolen from McCoy's home.
Saskatoon Police believe members of the public may have information that could solve the case.
Anyone with information is asked to call Saskatoon police or Crime Stoppers.
