Saskatoon downpour pushes beavers to higher ground near hospital parkade

When Danielle Pascal was leaving work at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon Monday night, she came across some unexpected visitors.
The heavy downpour had pushed four beavers to find higher ground near the hospital parkade, which is close to the river.
"I've never actually seen them up close like that before," Pascal said.
"It was super cool to see."
Pascal had to wait a few minutes before she took off, as a few of the beavers darted in front of her car.
Environment Canada confirms as much as 75 millimetres of rain fell in some areas of Saskatoon. The heaviest rain was concentrated in the south and northeastern areas of the city.
More rain is in the forecast later this week.
