"After MGR's death Amma (Jayalalithaa) was set aside from the party just like how I am being treated now," VK Sasikala could be heard saying to a party worker named Kubendran from Periyakulam in a recently-leaked audiotape.
Former AIADMK leader VK Sasikala has again hinted at her return to politics in another leaked conversation with a party worker named Kubendran from Periyakulam. She could be heard comparing herself to former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa and her intention to merge AIADMK and AMMK. "After MGR's (Maruthur Gopala Menon Ramachandran) death, Amma (Jayalalithaa) was set aside from the party just like how I am being treated now. We (Jaya and her) had won that battle and merged the party. I am thinking of that and I keep telling that all of us should be together," Sasikala said in the audiotape.Asserting that the cadre base of AIADMK is in support of her, Sasikala said that she would bring the party's glory back. "We will give a governance like Amma," she added. She believes AIADMK's divide helped DMK in winning the recently-concluded Tamil Nadu Assembly Election.More Related News
