Social media is abuzz about the IPL auction that took place in Bengaluru earlier today. One of the most talked about developments is the return of Australian cricketer David Warner to his old team, Delhi Capitals.
Warner was auctioned off for a price of Rs 6.25 crores. The 35-year-old was part of the IPL team Sunrisers Hyderabad till 2021.
His shift to Delhi Capitals in exchange for Rs 6.25 crores at the IPL auction triggered a flurry of reactions on Twitter.
So much so that former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer took to the microblogging site to share a hilarious post and compared the whole situation to a bargain at Delhi’s famous Sarojini Nagar market.
“Delhi people are known to strike a bargain, but getting David Warner for just 6.25cr is a Sarojini Nagar market level bargain,” Wasim Jaffer wrote on Twitter.
