Sanyukt Samaj Morcha demands compensation for farmers, drug addicts who died during AAP Govt's tenure

SSM party members demanded compensation for farmers who had committed suicide or whose crops had been damaged by drought and drug addicts who died of drug overdose during the AAP regime.
The Sanyukt Samaj Morcha (SSM) on Sunday demanded compensation for the families of the farmers who had committed suicide, the farmers whose crops were damaged by the drought and the drug addicts who died of drug overdose during the Aam Aadmi Party regime.
Addressing a press conference in Chandigarh, SSM spokespersons Ravneet Brar, Satbir Singh Walia and party's Working Committee member, Dr Arshdeep accused the AAP government of not fulfilling the election promises.
Ravneet Brar said that 27 farmers have committed suicide during the past two months. He said that three out of 27 farmers took the extreme step in the past 12 hours.

"Bhagwan Mann should clarify whether he personally visited even a single family of the farmers who committed suicide. Did he send his representative or a government official to meet the families? He did not " Ravneet Brar said.
Brar said that the Chief Minister claimed that he was the son of a farmer and this was the time to hold their (farmers) hands.
The farmer leaders said that nearly 23 percent of the wheat crop has been affected by the drought which resulted in shrivelled grains. He said that despite the assurances, the farmers have not been compensated .
