Indian Premier League: Sanju Samson has said that he will be the captain of Rajasthan Royals while fielding but when batting, his entire focus will be to score runs for the team.

Sanju Samson, albeit a new captain, is clear about his leadership role with the Rajasthan Royals ahead of the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League. The wicketkeeper-batsman was appointed captain after the franchise released Steve Smith from the squad. Samson is eagerly waiting for IPL 2021 to begin as he will get the opportunity to lead RR for the first time in six seasons of his association with the franchise. The newly appointed captain has stressed the significance of his captaincy in giving confidence to his teammates. “You can't be a batting captain. You're a captain when you are fielding. When you are batting, there are specific roles given to everyone and you just need to do the same role.
