Samsung Galaxy M53 5G India launch date, price, specifications, sale details: Everything we know so far
India Today
The Samsung Galaxy M53 will likely be positioned between the recently launched Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A73 smartphones, keeping in mind the price and specifications of the devices.
Samsung is all set to announce yet another Galaxy M series phone in India on April 22. The company recently confirmed that it will launch the Galaxy M53 at an event tomorrow. The device was recently launched in the global market, so very little is left to imagine in terms of design and specs. The M53 is listed on Amazon and ahead of the launch, the listing has already revealed some key specifications. Here’s everything we know so far about the mid-range phone.
The Samsung Galaxy M53 will likely be positioned between the recently launched Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A73 smartphones, keeping in mind the price and specifications of the devices. The upcoming Samsung Galaxy M53 is expected to be priced in India between Rs 35,000 and Rs 40,000. For your reference, the Galaxy M53 is selling in India for Rs 34,499, while the Galaxy A73 5G is on sale for Rs 41,999.
The upcoming Samsung phone will be on sale via Amazon and the company’s official website. The sale date of the Galaxy M53 will be revealed tomorrow. It will be made available in two colours, including blue and green, as per the teaser images published on Amazon.
The Samsung Galaxy M53 5G will come with a typical quad rear camera setup and will have the same back camera design that we have seen on the recently launched Galaxy M33. On the front, you will see the centred punch-hole display design, unlike the more affordable M33 device. It is currently whether the handset has a headphone jack or not. But, if there is no audio jack, then it shouldn’t come to you as a surprise, as several brands have stopped offering it on premium phones. The upcoming Samsung Galaxy M53 has a 6.7-inch sAMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution. The panel is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
The device draws power from a MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset, which is based on a 6nm process. There is also support for up to 16GB of virtual RAM. One will be able to extend RAM using the phone’s internal storage. It even has a vapour cooling chamber for better heat dissipation. For photography, there is a 108-megapixel quad rear camera setup and a 32-megapixel Sony IMX 616 sensor on the front for selfies. The back camera system also includes a 2-megapixel macro sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
The teasers have confirmed the Samsung Galaxy m53 will arrive with a typical 5,000mAh battery. The company isn’t offering a 6,000mAh battery that it has been offering on some of the Galaxy M series phones for better battery life. The global version has support for a 25W fast charger. Though, one might be required to buy the charger separately.
In the global market, the company isn’t shipping a charger in the retail box. So, there are chances that Samsung will do the same for India too. This won’t be surprising, considering the brand recently launched a few Galaxy A series phones in India without a charger. We will have to wait to see whether the same will also happen with the latest model.
