The Samsung Galaxy M53 5G comes with a starting price of Rs 26,499 in India. With the ICICI bank credit card, one can get it at a discounted price of Rs 23,999. This price is for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model. There is also the 8GB RAM model, which is priced at Rs 28,499, but one can get it at an effective price of Rs 25,999 with the bank offer.
The Samsung Galaxy M53 comes with a big 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with a higher 120Hz refresh rate for a smoother scrolling experience. The device doesn’t have an IP rating, which is expected in this price range. It is powered by a Mediatek Dimensity 900 SoC, which is a capable chip as long as you don’t push it to limits.
The device sports a quad rear camera setup, including a 108-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and two 2-megapixel sensors for depth and macro. On the front, one will find a 32-megapixel camera. It packs a 5,000mAh battery, which has support for 25W charging.
The Samsung Galaxy M53 is a decent smartphone under Rs 30,000 in India. Phones like Realme 9 5G SE and OnePlus Nord 2 are offering a lot more and this Samsung phone may not appeal to you in some areas. One of them is support for fast charge and Samsung is also not shipping an adapter in the retail box, which is something that may force people to look elsewhere. The company has provided support for only 25W, whereas its rivals are available with up to 65W support. You also need to spend extra on a charger. The device has a bigger 5,000mAh unit under the hood and without a fast charger, it will take a lot of time to top up the phone’s battery.
The device even lacks stereo speakers, but its 120Hz AMOLED screen will offer you a great content viewing experience. Though, there is no support for HDR 10+, so one won’t be able to watch HDR content on OTT apps. The general performance is good, but don’t expect much in terms of heavy lifting. The battery optimization is just fine, but you also get tons of features for better personalized experience.
