Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chhillar’s Samrat Prithviraj is now running in the theatres. The film saw a slow start as it clashed with Kamal Haasan’s Vikram and Adivi Sesh’s Major at the box office. After collecting a little over Rs 10 crore on its opening day, the film is estimated to do mediocre at the box office on Sunday.
Samrat Prithviraj released after many hiccups due to the pandemic situation. The film witnessed a slow start on the first day and is expected to collect about Rs 12.75 crore on Day 2. Trade analyst Ramesh Bala tweeted, "#SamratPrithviraj 's Day 2 All-India Early Estimates is 12.75 Crs Nett (sic)."

Samrat Prithviraj minted Rs 10.70 crore on the first day. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh's tweet reads, "#SamratPrithviraj gathered momentum towards evening on Day 1... Biz at metros - which started slow - did not escalate, but mass circuits showed upward trends... Biz should grow on Day 2 and 3, needs that push for a strong weekend total... Fri 10.70 cr. #India biz (sic)."
