Samantha recently became the talk of the town after she made a series of bold comments about her personal life on Koffee With Karan 7. In a particularly memorable segment, she blamed host Karan Johar for failed marriages. Now, here is some more big news for Sam fans. Samantha is reportedly set to act opposite Dulquer Salmaan in her maiden Malayalam movie King of Kotha. The film is a gangster drama, directed by Abhilash Joshiy
Samantha Ruth Prabhu, widely regarded as one of Telugu cinema's biggest stars, recently stole the show with her witty comments on Koffee With Karan 7. The actress even recreated her Oo Antava number from the Allu Arjun-led Pushpa: The Rise with Akshay Kumar, much to the delight of fans. Now, it appears that Sam is set to enter the Malayalam film industry. The Tollywood beauty is said to be in talks to romance Dulquer Salmaan in his upcoming film, King of Kotha. DQ and Samantha were previously part of the Keerthy Suresh-led Mahanati (Nadigaiyar Thilagam in Tamil) but didn't have any scenes together.
Samantha, meanwhile, is going through a busy phase on the work front. She was last seen alongside Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara in the Tamil romantic comedy Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal. She currently has the sci-fi thriller Yashoda and the Vijay Deverakonda-led romantic drama Khushi in her kitty. She plays the lead role in director Gunasekhar's latest magnum opus Shaakuntalam. The makers recently revealed that it is in the post-production.
Dulquer Salmaan, on the other hand, is in the limelight because of his latest Telugu movie, Sita Ramam. The romantic drama opened in theatres today, August 5. Sita Ramam stars Mrunal Thakur, Rashmika Mandanna, and Sumanth, among others. Dulquer will be seen alongside Rajkummar Rao in Raj and DK's upcoming web series, Guns and Gulaabs. He also has the R Balki-directed Hindi film, Chup, in his kitty.
