Sam D'Souza, linked to extortion bid in Mumbai drugs case, claims threat to life and family

Sam D'Souza's name has cropped up in connection with the pay-off allegations in the cruise drugs case.

Sam D'Souza, whose name had cropped up in connection with the pay-off allegations in the cruise drugs case, wrote to the Mumbai Police Commissioner seeking protection, saying there was a threat to his life and family.

In his letter to the Mumbai Police Commissioner, written on November 2, Sam D'Souza said witnesses in the drugs case -- KP Gosavi and Prabhakar Sail -- and Sunil Patil implicated him as part of a conspiracy.
