Salman Khan, speaking at IIFA 2022, got emotional as he recalled his old acting days. The actor revealed that it was Boney Kapoor who had helped him during his rough career phase.
Salman Khan was one of the hosts at the 22nd edition of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards. The star-studded event was held in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi on June 3 and 4. During his hosting stint, Salman Khan got emotional and revealed that long back, when his career had hit a rough patch, it was Boney Kapoor who had helped him.
Salman Khan opened up about his struggling days during IIFA 2022. Speaking at the event, he said, "He has helped me throughout my life. When my career hit a rough patch, Boney Kapoor gave me a film called Wanted. After that, he gave another film, No Entry, which marked the comeback of Anil Kapoor. Boney ji has helped me a lot, for which I will always be thankful.”
At IIFA 2022, Salman shared many anecdotes from the days gone by. He spoke about how he once wanted a stone wash jeans, boots, and a purse from Suniel Shetty's shop Mischief. However, Salman could not afford it. Suniel then went ahead and gifted it to Salman. Speaking about the same, Salman said, "When I didn’t have any money, actor Suniel Shetty had a shop called Mischief and I was eyeing a pair of stone wash jeans, boots, and a purse. I knew I couldn’t afford it because I didn’t have money. But Anna saw my eyes and decided to gift me what I yearned."
