After 70 years of being declared extinct in the country, the reintroduction of cheetahs in India is a hot topic of discussion on social media platforms. Now a video featuring a cheetah has grabbed the attention of netizens. Shared on Twitter by IFS officer Clement Ben, the clip shows a snippet from a memorable forest safari.
The video starts with a cheetah approaching a safari vehicle filled with tourists. Within a few seconds, the big cat jumps on the roof of the car and peeks through the open sun roof. As the cheetah sits on the roof, the safari guide gets up from his seat and takes out his phone to take a selfie.
However, that’s not all. The guide gets dangerously close to the animal to take the selfie. The video ends abruptly and it is not known how long the safari vehicle had to wait for the big cat to get down.
