Suspended Mumbai cop Sachin Vaze, once a top 'encounter specialist', had planned to write a book on terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), while he was still suspended in connection with the custodial death of Khwaja Yunus. India Today TV has learned that Sachin Vaze traveled to Kashmir in 2016 where he met J&K police officials including a senior IPS officer. Speaking about his visit, the IPS officer confirmed that he had met Sachin Vaze in a cafeteria in Srinagar's upscale locality of Sonwar and discussed "militancy" in J&K. The officer said Sachin Vaze met him saying he was writing a book on terrorism in Kashmir. He also said that Sachin Vaze claimed to know Pakistan-backed terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba. Further, the officer said, "I spoke little as Sachin Vaze narrated the 26/11 terror attacks and seemed to be more interested in talking than listening." The officer said Sachin Vaze was an acquaintance.More Related News
